U.S. Powerboat Show 2001 to Spotlight Trawlers
Annapolis to Host
ANNAPOLIS, Md. — TrawlerPort, an event featuring trawler seminars and displays, will be held at the U.S. Powerboat Show October 12-13. The TrawlerPort event is organized and sponsored by Southwest Florida Yachts and Florida Sailing and Cruising School
According to PassageMaker magazine, which produces TrawlerPort, the trawler seminar is a show "within an established, mainstream boat show, combining a special section of trawlers with a two-day seminar program, special events and receptions."
"It (TrawlerPort Annoplis) provides a terrific opportunity for us to show and tell boating people how we can magnify their enjoyment of trawler life," said Barb Hansen, owner-operator of Southwest Florida Yachts. "We can teach them how to operate and navigate a trawler. They can charter a trawler, with or without a captain. If they want to own a trawler, we'll help them find the ideal vessel for their lifestyle. We can even put their trawler into our charter fleet to help them offset the cost of boat ownership."
Southwest Florida Yachts, headquartered in North Fort Myers, Fla., offers a wide range of power yachts for charter including Grand Banks Classic Trawlers and Grand Banks Motoryachts. Florida Sailing & Cruising School conducts on-board and classroom courses for handling and navigating powerboats and sailing vessels.
